On this page
A1 Tech Deals often sells a sealed iPhone for well under the price at Amazon and Currys, and a price that low makes people ask whether the shop is real. On 26/10/2026 we read its company details, its warranty, returns and delivery pages, its Trustpilot page and the public company register, and checked its prices against the other shops we compare on the same day.
Is A1 Tech Deals legit?
Yes. A1 Tech Deals is the trading name of Omnibytes Ltd, company number 12070738, an active company registered at Peter House, Oxford Street, Manchester since 26 June 2019, and its pages state a 12-month warranty and free 30-day returns on every item, new or refurbished. On 26/10/2026 it had a score of 4.7 from 17,790 reviews on Trustpilot, and no page on Reviews.io.
The company details on its contact page match the public register: the same company number, the same Manchester address and a VAT number. Its about page says it sold on Amazon, eBay and Back Market before moving to its own site, and that since September 2024 vetted UK suppliers offer stock on the same products, with the cheapest offer making the sale. Its shipping page says every order is sent tracked from the UK, never from abroad.
What do A1 Tech Deals reviews say?
On 26/10/2026 A1 Tech Deals' Trustpilot page gave it 4.7 from 17,790 reviews, and its own site quoted the same count that day. A search of Reviews.io the same day found no page for it, so Trustpilot is the one review platform with a body of reviews to read.
A high score from many reviews tells you most orders arrived as described. It tells you less about the rarer cases that matter more, a fault after a month or a return that goes wrong, so read the one-star and two-star reviews too, and look at how recent they are. For comparison, Back Market's UK page had 4.2 from 42,387 reviews and musicMagpie's 4.5 from 365,915 when we read them on 25/10/2026; is Back Market legit? and is musicMagpie any good? cover both.

A1 Tech Deals' prices reach us through Kelkoo Group's offer feed, so our pages can lag its own: on 26/10/2026 its page had the iPhone 16e 128GB at £469.49 while ours still showed £509.99, read the day before. Each price box shows when we read it. We earn a few pence through Kelkoo Group each time someone clicks through to A1 Tech Deals, whether or not they buy, as our affiliate disclosure says; it does not change the order prices are shown in.

What does A1 Tech Deals sell: new or refurbished?
Both, and a third condition between them. Its product condition page, read on 26/10/2026, names five:
- Brand New: sealed and unused, with everything the maker puts in the box.
- Open Box: new and never used, with the box opened.
- Refurbished, Excellent: looks as good as new.
- Refurbished, Good: a few light marks you see only up close.
- Refurbished, Fair: some visible marks, at the lowest price.
Every refurbished item is tested, works fully and has a battery at 80% or more of its original capacity, and comes with a charger or charging cable rather than the original box contents. On 26/10/2026 a refurbished iPhone 15 128GB in Good cost £356.99 and in Excellent £397.99, against £529.99 new on the same page. Most of what it sells is new, though: on 26/10/2026 it had a new price on 25 of our product pages and a refurbished one on 5. What the grades mean across shops is in refurbished phone grades explained.

What should you check before you buy?
These are A1 Tech Deals' own terms, read on its policy pages on 26/10/2026:
- Warranty: 12 months from the date of purchase on every item, whatever its condition, covering faults and defects. It does not cover accidental damage, and on a refurbished item the wear its grade describes is not a fault.
- Returns: 30 days from the day you receive the item, for any reason, with no restocking fee if it comes back in the condition it was sold in. A Brand New item must be unused with its seals intact.
- Return postage: free. Once a return is approved, A1 Tech Deals sends a prepaid label, and an item that is not as described comes back on a prepaid label too, with no fee. Refunds are made within 10 working days of the item being inspected.
- Fees on returns: a phone, tablet or watch must be factory reset and signed out of Find My or any other lock, or A1 Tech Deals charges £30 to send it back for you to reset. An item returned in worse condition than it was sold in can be charged up to a quarter of its price.
- Delivery: free and tracked within mainland Great Britain, usually by Royal Mail or DPD, with paid express options at checkout. It does not deliver to Northern Ireland.
- VAT on refurbished: refurbished phones are sold on the VAT margin scheme, so a business buyer cannot reclaim VAT on them.
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply on top of all of this, as they do at any UK shop.
What to do
- Compare on the day. A1 Tech Deals was under Amazon and Currys on every product we checked on 26/10/2026, but an eBay seller was cheaper on two, and prices move daily.
- Check the condition line before you add to basket: Brand New, Open Box and the three refurbished grades sit on the same product page at different prices.
- Factory reset and sign out of a device before you return it, or the return costs £30.
- Our product pages show A1 Tech Deals beside the other shops we compare, with the time each price was read, and this week's price drops shows what got cheaper.
