Which UK shop is cheaper, who price matches whom, and how to use them together.

Is Back Market legit? Are its phones any good?
Yes. Back Market is a marketplace of refurbishers it vets, and every phone comes with a 12-month warranty from the seller, 30 days of free returns and a battery at 80% or better. The catches: the refurbisher, not Back Market, is the seller, only Premium promises genuine parts, and a fee of up to 2% is added at checkout.

Is the PS5 Pro in stock in the UK, and what does it cost today?
Yes, at Currys and Argos: on 01/10/2026 Currys had it at £789 (one per customer) and Argos at £789.99, Sony's own price since 02/04/2026. John Lewis was out of stock online, Amazon sold none itself, and the lottery in the news is for Japan only.

Amazon vs Currys: which is cheaper for phones and consoles?
Mostly neither: on 21/09/2026 six of the eight products both shops sold new cost the same. Amazon was £100 cheaper on an iPhone 15 it sold itself, a gap that had closed by 02/10/2026, and Currys was £50 under the cheapest PS5 on Amazon, which came from a marketplace seller. Currys will match Amazon's own price; Amazon matches no one.

Is John Lewis cheaper than Currys?
Rarely, and rarely dearer: of the six products both had in stock new on 30/09/2026, five cost the same and Currys was 99p cheaper on the sixth. At the same price John Lewis includes a two-year guarantee where Currys lists the maker's one year, and the lowest new price was at neither shop.

Do Currys price match Argos, Amazon or John Lewis?
Yes: Currys matches Argos, Amazon and John Lewis, online or in store, before you buy or up to seven days after. Claims fail when the cheaper price comes from a marketplace seller, a membership deal or an item that is out of stock.

Currys vs Argos: which is cheaper for tech?
Neither shop is reliably cheaper, but only one of them will match a lower price you show it, and that asymmetry is worth more than any single week's discount.
