Is Gadcet legit? What its reviews say, its grades, and where it is cheapest
Yes: a Romford company on Companies House, a 12-month warranty and 30-day returns on new and used stock. Its Trustpilot score, what its grades mean, and its prices against Amazon, the shops and eBay on 29/10/2026.

On this page
Gadcet sells a used iPhone or a sealed games console for less than the big shops often enough that people search for the shop's name next to the word "legit". On 29/10/2026 we read its company details, its grading, returns, warranty and delivery pages, its Trustpilot and Reviews.io pages and the public company register, and checked its prices against the other shops we compare on the same day.
Is Gadcet legit?
Yes. Gadcet is the trading name of Gadstore Limited, company number 12758652, an active company incorporated on 21 July 2020 with its registered office at 61-63 South Street, Romford, RM1 1NL, the same address its returns page gives for sending items back. Its pages state a 12-month warranty on every item and 30-day returns on new and used stock alike.
The warranty covers manufacturing faults, not accidental damage or misuse, and the returns page separates faulty items, which come back on a free return with a repair, replacement or refund, from unwanted ones, where you pay the return postage and a sealed item returned opened or used can carry a fee of up to 25% of its price. Delivery is free from £19.99 and free next working day from £49.99 for orders placed by 4 pm, to mainland addresses outside the Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland. Its terms name Gadstore LTD, its Trustpilot profile was claimed in September 2015, and the register lists its trade as the retail of second-hand goods, in store and online, which matches what it sells.
What do Gadcet reviews say?
On 29/10/2026 Gadcet's Trustpilot page gave it 4.4 from 4,368 reviews, 1,448 of them in the last 12 months, with 81% at five stars and 10% at one. Trustpilot notes that the company invites its customers to review, pays for a Trustpilot subscription and had replied to 96% of its negative reviews. Reviews.io had a page with 7 reviews and a score of 3.3 the same day, too few to weigh.
The five-star reviews are about price and speed: a lower price than anywhere else, next-day delivery, the item as described. The one-star reviews from the last fortnight fall into two groups, and both are worth reading before you buy. One is delivery: an order that did not arrive on the promised day and a phone line nobody answered. The other is condition: a buyer of an iPhone 17 Pro in Used, Good who felt the phone was in a worse state than that, and a buyer who found the maker's own warranty on a used item had already run out. Gadcet's reply to the first points to its grade definitions, and the second is why its own 12-month warranty matters more than Apple's on a used phone. For comparison, A1 Tech Deals had 4.7 from 17,790 reviews on 26/10/2026, Back Market 4.2 from 42,387 and musicMagpie 4.5 from 365,915 on 25/10/2026.
What does Gadcet sell, and what do its grades mean?
Both new and used stock, and from more than one seller. Gadcet is a marketplace: the listings on gadcet.com belong to Gadcet's own branches, named Chadwell Heath and Dagenham in its product data, and to other companies that sell through it, among them Eclat Tech Ltd, Kellular UK Trading Ltd and Universal Electronics Limited on the listings we read. The product page does not show the seller's name. What you see instead is the same product listed several times at different prices, and a "Compare Sellers" box on the page with the other offers sorted by total price. On 29/10/2026 the iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB appeared ten times, from £549 to £799.99, and the AirPods Max 2 four times, from £467 to £489.
Every listing carries a condition line, and Gadcet's product condition page, read on 29/10/2026, defines five grades:
- New: sealed and unused, with all its original packaging.
- Like New: looks as if it has just come out of the box, with no signs of wear and all the original accessories.
- Very Good: minimal wear, fully working, possibly missing a non-essential accessory.
- Good: noticeable wear, scratches or dents, fully working.
- Fair: fairly worn but working perfectly.
Used devices are tested and data-wiped before dispatch, the original packaging may be missing, and any download codes in a used game box have probably been used. On our pages a Gadcet unit graded Like New, Very Good or Good appears in the refurbished section, because it carries the same 12-month warranty and 30-day returns as a Back Market or musicMagpie unit, and a Fair unit, or a used unit with no grade at all, stays under second hand and out of the lowest price. One warning from the day's reading: the condition line can differ from the price feed we receive, so read it on Gadcet's page before you pay. On 29/10/2026 two Gadcet listings that reached our pages as new were graded Used, Very Good on gadcet.com itself, and both are being corrected. What the words mean across shops is in refurbished vs second hand.
Where is Gadcet cheaper than Amazon and the shops?
On refurbished Apple kit, and on a few new products where it matches or just undercuts Amazon. On 29/10/2026 Gadcet had a price on 58 of the 128 product pages we compare where two or more shops were in stock. In our prices that evening it had the cheapest new price on 4 of them and the cheapest refurbished price on 8, and these are the ones that stood up when we read Gadcet's page and the rival's page the same day.

The refurbished rows are the point. Gadcet's Good grade undercut every refurbished rival on the AirPods Max and the iPad 11, and its Like New AirPods Max at £348 sat £9 above eBay's Excellent, so grade for grade it was close rather than clearly ahead. On new stock it sits beside Amazon, a pound or two either way, and well under Currys and John Lewis on consoles and headphones.

Where is it not?
Against eBay, most of the time, and against the refurbished specialists on some used Apple watches and cameras. On 29/10/2026 Gadcet was the second cheapest shop behind an eBay seller on 15 of our pages, and on several of them the eBay seller was a business with returns, not a private seller taking a chance.

|---|---|
| Apple Watch Ultra 3, refurbished | Gadcet £669.98 in Very Good, from its Dagenham branch. Currys Clearance on eBay £489.75 in Very Good, Refurbished, free delivery and 30 days' returns paid by the seller; new at John Lewis £549. Gadcet £180.23 over, and above a new one |
| DJI Osmo Pocket 3, refurbished | Gadcet £309 in Good, from its Chadwell Heath branch. eBay £239.99 Certified, Refurbished from a business seller with 159,349 ratings and 30 days' returns; new at Amazon £298.99. Gadcet £69.01 over, and above a new one |
| Apple Watch Series 11 GPS 42mm, new | Gadcet £359, from Eclat Tech Ltd. A private seller on eBay £270 or best offer. Gadcet £89 over |
Two more things the day's reading showed. Gadcet's stock is thin on the products where its price looks best: the MacBook Air 15-inch M4 at £999 in Like New, the biggest gap in our data, was sold out in every grade on gadcet.com on 29/10/2026, and so was the iPad Air 11-inch M4 128GB at £669 new. And a used grade at Gadcet is not always cheaper than new elsewhere: the Watch Ultra 3 and the Osmo Pocket 3 above both cost more used at Gadcet than new at John Lewis or Amazon. How OwlyFinds shows Gadcet
Gadcet's prices reach us through Kelkoo Group's offer feed rather than from reading gadcet.com, and we check each offer against the product the page is about before it is listed. Kelkoo pays us a few pence each time someone clicks through to Gadcet, whether or not they buy, as our affiliate disclosure says; it does not change the order prices are shown in, and when we check a Gadcet price for a guide like this one we read gadcet.com directly, so a check never counts as a click.
The feed sends Gadcet's graded units as used. Since 21/10/2026 a unit graded Like New, Very Good, Good, Excellent or Pristine is shown in our refurbished section, beside Back Market's and musicMagpie's grades, because it carries the same 12-month warranty and 30-day returns. A Fair unit, or a used unit with no grade, stays under second hand, out of the lowest price, the price history, the head-to-head tables and price alerts. Every row shows when we last read it, and a Gadcet price can lag its page by a day because the feed updates overnight, so the price box is the one to trust on the day. How OwlyFinds compares prices has the rest.
What to do
- Compare on the day. On 29/10/2026 Gadcet was cheapest on refurbished AirPods Max and iPad 11 and level with Amazon on new consoles and headphones, but an eBay seller was cheaper on most pages, and its stock on the best deals runs out.
- Read the condition line on Gadcet's page, not the title: the same phone can be listed ten times at ten prices, in grades from Fair to New, by different sellers.
- Compare grade for grade. Gadcet's Good is its cheapest refurbished grade, and its Like New can cost more than another shop's Excellent.
- Factory reset and sign out of a device before you return it, and keep the return tracked; an unwanted return is at your cost, a faulty one is at Gadcet's.
- Our product pages show Gadcet beside the other shops we compare, with the time each price was read, and this week's price drops shows what got cheaper.
