Where is a refurbished Galaxy cheapest?
It depends on the model, so compare on the day. On 28/10/2026:
- refurbed was cheapest for the S25 (£398, Good), the S25 FE (£412) and the S25 Edge (£469), each with 12 months' warranty from the seller.
- eBay was cheapest for the three S24 models, from business sellers taking returns for 30 days: the S24 at £249.95 and the S24 FE at £252.99, both Good, and the S24 Ultra at £459 in Good with its battery at 95%.
- Back Market was cheapest for the S25 Ultra at £619 in Fair, with 12 months' warranty from the seller, and had the S24 from £277 in Fair.
- musicMagpie had the S24 at £289.99 in Good, with a free 12-month warranty.
- Gadcet had the S25 Edge at £499, the S24 FE at £339 and the S24 Ultra at £515, all Used, Very Good.
- Amazon Renewed had the S25 FE at £414 from another seller, £2 over refurbed.
Samsung's own Certified Re-Newed store sold the S25 from £599 that day, with a two-year warranty and genuine Samsung parts. That is £129.51 more than a new S25 at A1 Tech Deals, so the longer warranty is what you pay for.
Is a refurbished Galaxy S25 worth it, or the S24?
On price, the S24. On 28/10/2026 a refurbished S24 128GB cost £249.95, £148.05 under a refurbished S25 at £398, and £219.54 under a new S25 at £469.49. The S25 saved only £71.49 refurbished, because new S25s had already fallen well below Samsung's own price: Samsung listed the S25 at £889 for 256GB that day. Every S25 model and what it costs new is in Galaxy S25 prices in the UK.

Rungs are the order within one seller, bottom to top; the same word does not mean the same thing in two shops. Every rung should be a fully working phone; read the seller’s own definition on the listing.
What each grade allows, shop by shop, is in refurbished phone grades explained.
What should you check before buying a refurbished Samsung?
- The model number. The UK models we saw on 28/10/2026 had numbers ending in B, such as SM-S721B for the S24 FE and SM-S937B for the S25 Edge. Check the edition too: the S24 Ultra Amazon listed at £759 that day was a 512GB Enterprise Edition, not the 256GB phone.
- The battery. Some sellers state its health on the listing, as the £459 S24 Ultra did at 95%. Back Market names a battery standard for each grade on its page; if a listing says nothing, ask.
- The warranty. On 28/10/2026 Back Market, musicMagpie, refurbed and Gadcet each gave 12 months, and Samsung two years on Certified Re-Newed. On eBay the warranty is whatever the listing says.
- Returns. The eBay sellers above took returns for 30 days; who pays the postage back varied by seller.
The difference between refurbished, used and "pre-owned" on a listing is in refurbished vs second-hand.
