Is a refurbished Switch 2 cheaper?
Not on 27/10/2026. A refurbished Switch 2 cost £390 at refurbed, with 12 months' warranty from the seller, and £392 at Back Market in Good, against £389 new at Gadcet and £389.99 new at Argos. On eBay the cheapest refurbished one we could buy was £402.79, Excellent, from musicMagpie's eBay shop, £63.89 over the cheapest new listing. Until refurbished prices fall under the shops' new price, buy new.
Is eBay's Switch 2 price safe?
It is a real listing, so read it before you buy. On 27/10/2026 the £333.10 Switch 2 (plus £5.80 postage) was listed as a brand new console, with no "tablet only" or bundle wording, by a private seller with 929 ratings, all positive, located in the UK. It took no returns.
It was £51.09 under Argos, not far enough under the shops for our rule on cheap new listings, which shows a listing marked New more than 30% under the shops only from a seller with 500 or more ratings. eBay's Money Back Guarantee covers a purchase paid through its checkout if the console does not arrive or does not match the listing, for 30 days from delivery; it is not a warranty, and a seller taking no returns will not take back a console you simply do not want. Watch for listings of the Switch 2 tablet without its Joy-Con controllers or dock: they look cheap because they are not the whole console. How to read an eBay seller goes further.
Will the Switch 2 be cheaper on Black Friday?
We cannot say yet; we quote prices, not forecasts. What our chart shows is the last 30 days: leaving out an eBay listing of the tablet alone, which ran at £269.99 from 22/09 to 21/10 and which our checks now refuse, and an opened one at £312.70 on 01/10, the cheapest new Switch 2 in the 30 days to 27/10/2026 was £315.99, on 06/10. The chart below still shows the £269.99 tablet-only listing.
From 03/11/2026 our Black Friday page tracks the Switch 2 day by day. Until then, this week's price drops shows it the day it gets cheaper.
