How much is the iPhone 17 in the UK?
On 27/10/2026 Apple sold the iPhone 17 at £899 for 256GB and £1,099 for 512GB, and Argos and Currys charged the same. Apple no longer sells the iPhone 17 Pro or Pro Max, which it has replaced with the iPhone 18 Pro from £1,199, but the shops still had both, at £999 and £1,099 for 256GB.

What is the cheapest iPhone 17 today?
On 27/10/2026 the cheapest new iPhone 17 was £639.10 plus £11.95 postage on eBay, for a 256GB in Lavender, £247.95 under Apple and the shops. It came from a private seller with 74 ratings, all positive, located in the UK, who took no returns.
That gap is close to the line we use for cheap new listings, but under it: we show a listing marked New more than 30% under the shops only from a seller with 500 or more ratings. eBay's Money Back Guarantee covers a purchase paid through its checkout if the phone does not arrive or does not match the listing, for 30 days from delivery; it is not a warranty, and a private seller taking no returns will not take back a phone you simply do not want. For the other models:
- iPhone 17 512GB: the listing our page held at £720.69 had sold out by 27/10/2026. The next was £989.99 with free postage from a business seller with 1,901 ratings, taking returns for 30 days at the seller's cost.
- iPhone 17 Pro 256GB: £965.49 with free postage from a private seller with 168 ratings, all positive. No returns.
- iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB: the listing our page held at £904.30 had sold out. The next was £974.68 plus £11.95 from a private seller with 52 ratings, all positive. No returns.

Is a refurbished iPhone 17 worth it yet?
Against Apple and the shops, yes; against new on eBay, barely. On 27/10/2026 the iPhone 17 256GB refurbished cost:
- £649.99 on eBay, Very Good with its battery at 94%, from a business seller taking returns for 30 days at its own cost;
- from £729 at Back Market, in Black;
- £755 at refurbed;
- £799 at Currys, in Excellent.
The cheapest of those was £249.01 under Apple's £899, but only £1.06 under the cheapest new one on eBay. On the Pro the gap was wider: £805 at Back Market in Fair and £808.50 for Amazon Renewed in Good, £160.49 under new on eBay and £194 under the shops. iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Pro?
By price on 27/10/2026, the shops had them £100 apart, £899 against £999 for 256GB, and refurbished they were £155.01 apart, £649.99 against £805. Apple sells only the iPhone 17 now; its newest Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro, starts at £1,199, so a 17 Pro at £999 from a shop is £200 under that.
