On this page
The iPhone Duo is Apple's folding iPhone, and at John Lewis the pre-orders have already sold out. We read Apple's UK store and every shop we compare on the evening of 25/10/2026, and quote what each one's own page said, not a stock flag.
Is the iPhone Duo in stock in the UK?
Not at the shops, on 25/10/2026: Argos, Currys and John Lewis showed it out of stock, and Amazon was taking orders without a delivery date. Apple was taking orders on its own store, and eBay had phones from private sellers at £300 or more over Apple's price.
| Shop | 256GB, 25/10/2026 |
|---|---|
| Apple | £1,999, taking orders, free delivery; the date is shown only at checkout |
| Argos | £1,999, currently unavailable; it says it may get more stock |
| Amazon | £1,999, temporarily out of stock, still taking orders; it emails a delivery date later |
| Currys | £1,999, out of stock in every capacity and colour |
| John Lewis | £1,999, out of stock online; available to buy from 27 November 2026 |
| eBay | From £2,249.99, from private sellers; some are pre-sales for later dates |

How much is the iPhone Duo?
From £1,999 at Apple, in Star White or Night Sky, read on 25/10/2026:
| Storage | Apple's price |
|---|---|
| 256GB | £1,999 |
| 512GB | £2,199 |
| 1TB | £2,599 |
| 2TB | £3,199 |
Argos and Currys listed every capacity at the same prices that day, and Amazon and John Lewis had the 256GB at £1,999 too. So the shops do not undercut Apple on the Duo; the only differences are stock and delivery.
When will the iPhone Duo be back in stock?
Only John Lewis gave a date on 25/10/2026: its page said "Pre-orders are now sold out" and that the Duo is available to buy from 27 November 2026. Amazon said it will email a delivery date once it has one, and Argos said it may get more stock without giving a date. Currys gave no date. We do not guess beyond what the shops say; this post is updated as their pages change.
Is it worth paying over the odds on eBay?
On 25/10/2026 the cheapest new iPhone Duo 256GB from a UK seller on eBay was £2,249.99 plus £22.95 postage, a pre-sale for delivery on 7 December, and the cheapest one listed for sale now was £2,301.70 plus £11.95, £302.70 over Apple. Both were private sellers, with 41 and 89 ratings, and the £2,301.70 one took no returns.
Our rule for cheap new listings, which shows a listing marked New far under the shops only from a seller with 500 or more ratings, does not apply here, because these listings are dearer than the shops, not cheaper. eBay's Money Back Guarantee covers a purchase paid through its checkout for 30 days from delivery if the phone does not arrive or does not match the listing; it is not a warranty. A pre-sale also means paying now for a phone the seller does not have yet. If you can wait a month, John Lewis's 27 November date at £1,999 saves the £300. How to read an eBay seller first.
What to do
- Order from Apple at £1,999 if you want one soonest and can wait for the date it shows at checkout.
- Otherwise order from Amazon at £1,999, which takes orders and emails a date, or wait for John Lewis, which named 27 November 2026.
- Avoid eBay pre-sales and premiums unless the seller's record and returns are clear.
- Check our product page's read times before you buy, and see this week's price drops for what got cheaper.
